A couple of years ago while attending college, my professor at the time made it a requirement to attend The Armory Show located in New York City. Her name was Asya Reznikov, an amazing video & sculpture artist (highly suggest you take a look at her work). She told me that I would benefit from the show…and I have attended every show ever since.

For those who are unaware of the what The Armory Show is: It is one of the most leading international art fairs for modern and contemporary art. Galleries from across the globe all come together for this four day event showcasing the BEST artwork of the 20th and 21st century. For an artist to have there work shown here, it is a BIG deal and a HUGE honor.

As a birthday present, my brother and I attended the show and had an amazing time! As an artist, it is simply amazing going to these events and getting to view other art work, speaking to gallery directors and to the artist themselves. I always leave the show inspired and wanting to go to the studio to work immediately haha! Safe to say that I had a wonderful Sunday and gained a sense of confidence that art is alive and well, especially here in the big apple 🙂

Now, it’s time for you to go out into the world. What kind of art inspires you or challenges your beliefs?

I would love to hear your story

With Love,
