Sweet sixteens are very momentous in hispanic families.
This is the time when young girls become women and often times, and enormous celebration takes place. These customs are very popular in South and Central America. However, with immigrants arriving in North America, many families continue to celebrate this honored tradition, especially in New York City. This is the story of Mia, who was getting ready for her Sweet Sixteen in the most elaborate and beautiful way.
